Ground Works is committed to providing innovative education resources to elementary and middle school teaching garden programs that inspire students, teachers, and communities. Headquartered in Sioux Falls, SD, the non-profit, Ground Works, provides innovative resources and technical support to elementary and middle school teaching garden programs in South Dakota. Ground Works school teaching garden network inspires learners:

  •  To excel academically

  •  To practice the skills of being a great neighbor

  •  To begin habits for personal wellness

  •  To engage in environmental stewardship​​


Ground Works uses raised garden beds which measure 4'x10'x24", are ADA compliant, aesthetically pleasing, and ensure ease of access for both students and teachers. Ground Works partners with its own "garden engineers" who are trained Master Gardeners to develop high quality building plans and materials.
